Thank you for dropping in again today. You are indeed appreciated. How did your reading and prayer come up? I hope it made sense. A post on how to have an enjoyable bible reading and prayer should be up soon. Please feel free to share your tips with us, someone might just need the help.
So, lets go to the remaining part of the previous post, remember this old time hymn we used to sing?
“Trust and obey
For there is no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey”
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding;
think about Him in all your ways,
and He will guide you on the right paths.”
The Christian walk is such that we must learn to trust God, whether we see the end of the stairs or not. Trust is key as it will determine how much of God you will allow to be expressed in you as well as impressed upon you.
Knowing something isn’t enough,and that really doesn’t do much for you until you put that knowledge to work. Since we were born into this adamic nature that always has a yearning to commit sin, to satisfy our selves, fortunately for us the new nature we receive at new birth doesn’t run along the grains of this nature, however that makes it more difficult as we have to live against the grains of what our fleshy requires.
“Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:6-7
Obedience is therefore a key to walking this path of life that we are on.
A qick recap of the steps.
